For times you are not using a full wig, it is good to keep your natural hair in the best shape possible.
Below are some of the things we think you should do to keep your hair looking and feeling beautiful. These simple tips are so quick & easy to do but could save you from having your worst hair day.
  1. Get a Hair Cut
And regularly. It really is that simple. Whilst you have split ends your hair will never look healthy. We recommend every 6-8 weeks depending on hair type and length. So many people trying to grow their hair avoid having it cut. NO. This is the worst thing you can do! Get rid of them splits and you’re well on your way to beautiful locks.
  1. Always brush from point to root
Never brush your hair starting from your root area, start right from the ends of your hair and work your way up. This helps prevent breakage & saves you making any knots or tangles worse than what they are already.
  1. Have a pamper day
Once a week you should apply a conditioning treatment to your hair. I have personally found Neal & Wolf Intensive Care Treatment to be amazing. It makes your hair feel and smell so good, without weighing it down or giving you flat lifeless hair. Apply either to dry hair and wrap in a towel for 30 minutes, you then rinse and shampoo as normal. Or I apply to shampooed towel dried hair and leave for anything from 10 minutes, then just rinse and style as normal. The Intensive Care Treatment is just £13.50, a little goes a long way!
  1. Not too tight!
If you’re going to tie your hair up, always make sure it isn’t too tight. Continuous pulling, tension & friction it guaranteed to break your hair and even worse, can make it fall out. Be gentle!
  1. Use protection
Our hair goes through a lot on a daily basis so where possible, use protection. Neal & Wolf do a lovely product named Guard. It’s light enough that you can use on wet and dry hair. Use before applying heat from hairdryers, straighteners, wands etc. It protects against heat upto 220°c.
